Install instructions (Heels- non suede):

What you’ll need:

From right to left

*Scissors.

*Xacto knife (optional).

*Sharpie fine tip pen (this works best).

*No slip grip surface (a standard craft board was used in this demo. Glass and granite surfaces work as well.).

*Heel Protector™ (Order by size).

*Micro fiber towel (provided).

*Hair Dryer.

*Shoe Cleaner (we recommend Green Clean™).

*Applicator (not in picture but will be provided).

*Applicator card (not in picture but will be provided).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Clean Shoes – we recommend Green Clean™.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 2: Trace your heel- Note: you may have to apply some pressure to stabilize your shoe. Be sure to also use a surface that provides resistance for the film (for example: a craft board, glass, granite counter top all work well).

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 3: Cut your trace- a pair of scissors or a xacto knife will work.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 4: Separate your Heel Protector™ from the backing (there will be 3m backing on one side and a clear backing on the other) and match your Heel Protector™ to your shoe’s sole.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 5: Add 2 drops of applicator to your shoe’s sole and 3 drops to the exposed Heel Protector™.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 6: Spread the  applicator liquid evenly across the material and your shoe. Add your Heel Protector™ to the sole and adjust as needed. Tip: if you need to realign your protector, gently lift and replace. If the adhesive bond feels a bit aggressive, another drop of applicator will help. Do not exceed 4 drops. If needed, simply wipe your sole dry, remove excess moisture with your blow dryer and restart the process.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 7: Use applicator card to remove excess applicator liquid and bubbles. Note- the applicator is water based and safe for leather and vinyl shoes. Simply wipe off with your towel and it will provide an extra sparkle!

Step 8: Apply heat and seal the edges well to finish the process. Note: Use extreme care when using any heat source.

For best results, we recommend a drying period of at least 12 hours before wearing. That said, some have had good results in as little as 1 hour.

Removal

Removal is easy and straightforward with a little patience and a gentle touch.

What you'll need: Micro fiber towel, Green Clean, Hair dryer.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Clean your soles with Green Clean™.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 2: Using your hair dryer warm the surface of the protector. Tip: apply heat in sections.

Rear/Base Section

Step 3: Starting from the back gently lift the softened protector edge and pull firmly toward your body. Note: if the material does not feel elastic, simply wand over the protector until the desired result is achieved. Tip: Once the material is warm to the touch, it is soft enough to gently lift for your first pinch.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 4: Work from the rear, toward the center and eventually the tip. The material will stretch outward so work your way along the edges, pulling the material, heating and stretching it as you go. Within a few minutes, the material will be removed.

Center Section

Toe and Final Section

Note: resist the urge to rush the process. If the hair dryer gets uncomfortably warm, simply take a break and resume when you are ready. It is very important to remove the adhesive bond so the sole stays in tact. Please also use caution when operating hair dryers as inappropriate use could result in fire.
